Twitterの公式サポートアカウントでは午前8時27分、「一部で問題が発生しています。現在修正に取り組んでいます」との案内をツイート。ただ、前日にはTweet Deckについて「近々Twitter Blue専用になるかもしれない」とのうわさも流れており、ログインできなくなったのは有料化によるものではないかと疑う声も多くみられました。 しかし2月9日の朝7時ごろから、TweetDeckのサイトにアクセスしてもログインできず、ツイートが閲覧できない状態に（※）。利用者からは「まじでTweetDeck死んだことで一気にTwitterやる気が失せてきた」「ひどいよイーロン」など嘆く声が多くあがりました。 ※筆者の手元環境（Windows／Chrome、Firefox）でも、確かにログインできなくなっていることを確認 もともとは海外のニュースアカウントが伝えた非公式情報で、最新バージョンのTweetDeckを試したところ、ソースコード内に「ようこそ、Twitter Blue用のTweetDeckに」といった記述があった――というのがその根拠。これ自体はあくまで非公式情報であり、公式からは今のところTweetDeckが有料化されるといったアナウンスはありませんが、今回のログイン障害と合わせて「やっぱり有料化されるのでは」と考えた人も少なくないようです。 暫定的にログインする方法も またTwitterユーザーの間では、新バージョン（β版）のTweetDeckに表示を切り替えることで暫定的にログインする方法も拡散されており、筆者の手元でも試したところ確かにログインすることができました。今回のログイン障害と関係があるかは不明ですが、少なくとも新しいバージョンのTweetDeckが準備されているのは間違いないようでです。
